| Over 300 arts and crafts vendors take over Historic Main Street and Frontier Park for the Festival of the Little Hills. Coordinated by the not-for-profit organization of the same name, Fete Des Petite Cotes is named in honor of the settlement (now known as Saint Charles, Missouri) founded by the French-Canadian explorer Louis Blanchette in 1769. Festival of the Little Hills is a three-day celebration full of art, crafts, live music, food, fun, and community. Visit the Historic District August 15-17 and see for yourself why this is one of the City’s biggest festivals of the year.
Browse booths filled with gifts, crafts, and décor, and then grab a bite to eat from local restaurants or nonprofit-run food stands. For the young and the young at heart, Circus Kaput on North Main Street will be performing juggling, circus tricks, magic, and fire shows all weekend long.
In Frontier Park, find the Lewis & Clark Encampment and Keelboat Showcase, the Illinois-Missouri Tractor & Engine Club, Mike Lanham’s Blacksmith Demonstrations, and the Kids Korner that includes bounce houses. Enjoy the sights and the sounds while listening to live music all weekend long from Jaycee Stage.
Start planning your trip now and book a nearby hotel or guest house, make a list of restaurants you want to try, and get ready for a fun weekend in St. Charles.
